born in the uk, 1948, emigrated to the usa 1956, returned briefly to the uk 1971-72 and 1973-77 to study, married, with 3 children all out of  university, thank goodness. The oldest got married in May, 2010. I love live music, mostly jazz and western swing, also musical theatre. I'm an insatiable reader, mostly non-fiction, but I like a good mystery novel, current favourite, the Kurt Wallender books by Henning Mankell    (working my way through the 9 translated into English). Love to travel, try to get back to the UK at least once every 3 or 4 years. Most recent visit was July-August 2011, this time we spent most of our time in South Wales and visited the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland for the first time.
